Soho Retail Trends

 Here are some of the trends:

Food & drink  – Rapid rise in bakeries, bubble tea, chocolate, ‘independent’ coffee shops, falafel, ice cream, pizza, salads, waffles, wraps and flat breads, sushi and street food market stalls e.g. Rupert Street.

Pop up bar concepts

London Cocktail Week and sponsored pop ups e.g. Bloom Gin ‘pick your own strawberries’ on Beak Street, Buffalo Trace bourbon pop up in Covent Garden and Jameson Indie Film Festival above Kettner’s Soho.

Fashion, textiles and vintage

Urban fashion ‘street wear’ in Berwick Street e.g. Nudie Jeans repair shop and limited edition sports footwear at Foot Patrol, and many vintage shops such as Beyond Retro and Bang Bang and Absolute Vintage both on Berwick Street.

Record stores

Soho has been a destination for vinyl record collectors since the 1980’s and home to central London’s largest concentration of thriving independent record shops; Reckless Records, Sister Ray and The Music and Video Exchange as well as Sounds of the Universe on Broadwick Street, Black Market Records on D’Arblay Street and Phonica on Poland Street.

Bike, skater, surf shops

Rise of the sporty urban male, beach wear, casual clothing along with skatebords and bikes for sale e.g. Soho Bikes on Berwick Street  – coffee, clothes and bicycle repair.

Quick fix beauty treatments

Lashes, manicures, blow drys.

Soho has again hit the headlines with British Fashion Council announcing that London Fashion Week at Brewer Street, Soho which will attract thousands of fashion conscious people.
