Schön Klinik is moving into the ‘Harley Street Medical Area’ after securing a 19-year lease at 64/66 Wigmore Street for £4.2m p/a plus VAT.
The Howard de Walden Estate has entered into the agreement to lease the 54,500 sq ft open plan accommodation with the family- owned German hospital group, Schön Klinik, in a deal that gives an option of a 21-year extension. The hospital’s patients include the former Soviet President Mikhail Gorbachev.
The transaction is subject to receiving planning permission for changing the use from offices to medical.

Medical occupation has been a feature of the area since the surgeon William Prujean, associate of Samuel Johnson, was at No. 34 Wigmore Street from 1760 for several years.
In 1789–90 a dispensary ‘for the delivery of poor married and unmarried women’ was in operation briefly at No. 26 (later 66) at the Marylebone Lane corner.
